Although we operate an open door policy we do not allow guests unrestricted access to our children. As part of our Child Protection Policy guests must be accompanied, at all times, by a senior member of our staff.
The best time to visit our orphanage is early evening. Every day our free evening show starts at 6.30pm. If you arrive before the show our staff will be happy to give you a tour around our orphanage.
Please be respectful whilst you are visiting an orphanage. Avoid wearing skimpy clothing, especially women, and give any gifts to our staff so that they can be distributed at a suitable time.
As part of our strict Child Protection Policy all visitors are required to sign our visitor book and wear a visitor identification badge.
Visitors are permitted to take photos during their visit. As part of our Photographic Policy guests are not permitted to tour or take photos in certain sensitive areas such as the children’s washing and sleeping areas.
Please note that some NGOs in Siem Reap allow their children, who are often wearing traditional dance costumes, to walk unsupervised around the city centre late at night to promote their organization to tourists and beg for donations. ACODO believes that the welfare and integrity of it's children are paramount and never undertakes such practices.
